The Beaver® System to Waterproof your Pre-Existing Basement Drying up your wet basement is the first step towards a clean and healthy room ready for living, storage or play. The Beaver system relieves hydrostatic pressure without jackhammers trenching through the basement floor or hauling mud and gravel in and out of your home. Hollow baseboards adhered to the floor along the wall act as a barrier collecting water from weep holes tapped into the blocks where the floor and wall meet. Water travels along the hollow baseboards to a drain or sump-pump.   The Beaver® System is simple in design, but very effective. The system is composed of vinyl channels which resemble oversized baseboards and is a fairly inexpensive safeguard against basement flooding. This system can be used for poured concrete or block foundations. By tapping holes in the cement blocks at floor level you will lower the hydrostatic pressure that has built up in the walls. The Beaver system is then installed in front of the holes using Vin-Con-Lox adhesive. This simple system allow you to channel the incoming water to drain or sump pump.
